The lesson process occurs in two phases.
· First the lesson is scheduled. Payment information can be entered at that point or at the time of the lesson.
· Second, when the customer arrives and checks in someone must edit the lesson and change the attended status. Every lesson should have its status updated from N/A to a final status. A final status is any of the statuses other than N/A.

· Player must be selected from the drop down list. If this is a new customer use the Player/Customer button to add the customer first.
· The Attended status will default to N/A. However, every lesson should get a final status which designates whether the customer attended or canceled. The attended status is critical to the system when determining whether an Instructor or Facility is available. Below are the statuses and their effects:
· N/A – Initial status at time of add. The status should remain this until the time of the lesson or cancellation. Lesson will display on Main Menu.
· Attended – Customer showed up and took the lesson. Lesson will display on Main Menu.
· Canceled – Customer called and canceled and will not be charged for the lesson. Lessons with this status will not show up on the Main Menu screen.
· Late Cancel - Customer called and canceled less than 24 hours before lesson and will be charged for the lesson. Lessons with this status will not show up on the Main Menu screen
· No Show – Customer did not show up and did not call and cancel. Customer will be charged for the lesson.
· Instructor Cancel – Lesson was canceled at the request of the instructor. Customer will not be charged.
· Void – Lesson was entered in error. Lesson will not show on Main Menu.
· Use the Method of Payment list to pay for lessons with Memberships or Prepaid Lesson Packages. The system will always verify that the customer has enough remaining services on a package or membership to pay for the lesson.
Whenever you attempt to "Save" or "Save and Close" the data the system will verify that no conflicts are caused by adding this event to the schedule.
“Pay With Lesson Package” button: The gray label area at the bottom of the screen will display whether the customer has any lesson packages and whether or not a medical waiver has been signed. If the customer has lessons left on a lesson package you can pay for this lesson from that balance by clicking on the “Pay With Lesson Package” button. It will automatically figure the fee.
“Copy” Button
Use this button to copy the lesson to another day. This will allow a customer to request a series of lessons and you will only have to enter the data once. When you hit the copy button the following screen will appear:

To copy the lesson simply select the dates and click on the Generate Lessons button. Make sure you fill in appropriate payment information to be copied.
Group Lessons:
If this is a group lesson the lesson screen will appear as follows:

Note that a new button and scroll bar have been added to the screen. The “Add to Group” button will allow you to add people to this lesson. The screen will appear the same and you will just need to select another customer.
Once the group is added when you edit the lesson you can scroll through all the customers in the group using the “Scroll Group Lessons” scroll bar. This will allow you to mark each individual payment and status.
